Frases: Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach

Olá pessoas. Estamos trazendo o frases da corrida para trazer o que repercutiu entre os pilotos sobre Ling Beach e suas polêmicas, nesta terceira etapa do campeonato. Melhor ver logo, porque Barber já está aí.

Simon Pagenaud

“I’m just so proud of the guys. The pit sequence won it … I don’t know what to say. The PPG car is actually good luck for me. Every time I’m driving this car, I get good results. Hats off to my engineer. A big gamble, as you know, paid off. The (No.) 22 team is just on it this year, compared to last year. I believe there's some more to come."

Estou tão orgulhoso dos caras. A sequência de pits venceu. Eu não sei o que dizer. O carro me traz boa sorte. Toda vez que piloto este carro, tenho bons resultados. Tiro o chapéu pro meu engenheiro. Uma grande aposta, que você sabe, valeu a pena. O pessoal do #22 está dentro este ano, comparado com o ano passado. Eu acredito que tem mais por vir.

Scott Dixon

"It appeared Simon turned a little early and crossed the (pit exit) line that you’re not meant to cross. It is what it is. So second place today and Team Target did a hell of a job, and pit stops were clean, and I think we had really good pace."

Parece que o Simon virou um pouco antes e passou por cima da linha de saída dos pits, na qual você não pode passar. É isso. Então, segundo lugar hoje e o pessoal da equipe fez um baita trabalho hoje, e as paradas foram limpas. Acho que tivemos um bom ritmo.

INDYCAR

“Simon Pagenaud’s actions during the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach were deemed an infraction per Rule 7.10.1.1. 'Lane Usage' of the INDYCAR Penalty Guidelines: Failing to follow designated procedures entering or exiting the pit area, including the proper use of the acceleration and deceleration lanes. The penalty for this infraction ranges from a warning (minimum), putting the driver to the back of the field (mid) and drive-through or stop and go/hold (maximum). INDYCAR race stewards determined his actions were not deemed severe enough to warrant a harsher penalty than the warning that was issued.”

As ações de Simon Pagenaud durante a corrida foram consideradas como infração, segundo a regra 7.10.1.1. 'Uso da linha' no guia de regularidades da INDYCAR. Falhar em seguir procedimentos designados na entrada e saída da área de pit, incluindo um uso das linhas de aceleração e desaceleração. As penalidades por esta infração podem ser de advertência (mínimo), colocar o piloto no final do pelotão (médio) e um drive-through ou um stop-and-go (máximo). Os fiscais da INDYCAR determinaram que suas ações não foram consideradas fortes o suficiente para uma penalidade maior do que um aviso, que lhe foi emitido.

"What we talked about all last year, with the system that was employed, with all the warnings that were given, our impression was there wouldn't be warnings. We know they have the right to give warnings, but the impression we were left with was if you went against something that was specifically pointed out, it would be more than a warning. So that's now set a precedent. So what do we do now when we go to Barber and somebody drives all four wheels over the [exit blend] line? Is that OK? If anybody does it, I wouldn't expect a penalty. Here's the deal.

Sobre o que falamos durante todo o ano passado, com o sistema que foi implementado, com todas as advertências que foram dadas, nossa impressão é que que não deveria haver punições. Sabemos que eles tem o direito de dar avisos, mas a impressão que foi deixada é que se você vai contra algo que especificamente foi claro, tem que ser mais do que um aviso. Então agora temos um precedente. O que faremos se formos a Barber e alguém passar com todas as quatro rodas fora da linha de saída dos pits? Fica tudo bem? Se alguém fizer isso, não vou esperar por um penalty. Este é o ponto.

“We made the right calls today, we did what we could do. I felt like I passed a lot of cars. That was my first full-green Indy car race, so that was tough. When I lost a spot to (Charlie) Kimball (on Lap 42), the rear came all the way around in Turn 8 and I was just drifting towards the wall thinking, ‘Here it goes,’ but I saved it.

Fizemos boas apostas hoje, fizemos o que podíamos fazer. Senti como se tivesse passado vários carros. Esta foi a minha primeira corrida sem amarelas, então foi difícil. Quando eu perdi o lugar pro Kimball, a traseira saiu toda na curva 8 e fiquei driftando fora do muro pensando, 'lá vou eu', mas eu salvei.

“The car was pretty good today. We made some big moves and passed six cars in total, moved up five positions. I am just proud of the guys. We just did a good job.”

O carro estava bom hoje. Fizemos algumas grandes ultrapassagens e passamos seis carros no total. Nos movendo cinco posições. Estou feliz pelos caras. Fizemos um bom trabalho.

"First we gotta figure out what happened. It's embarrassing. All four cars struggling and complaining about the same thing. We thought we had a fix last night, so it's really frustrating. No grip in any one of our four cars. It really disappoints me with the amount of money we spent on our shock development, and to come away with this crap, it's frustrating."

Primeiro temos que entender o que aconteceu. Foi embaraçoso. Todos os quatro carros com problemas e reclamando da mesma coisa. Pensamos que consertamos noite passada, então foi frustrante. Nenhuma aderência nos quatro carros. Isso realmente me deixou chateado, com o monte de grana que gastamos no desenvolvimento, e irmos com isso. É frustrante.

"It was all I could do to keep the car off the wall. I was racing myself out there, just trying to hit a mediocre lap time without backing the car into the wall. I almost walled it three or four times. I'm just happy it's rolling away in one piece right now."

Foi tudo o que consegui por manter o carro fora do muro. Eu estava correndo contra eu mesmo, apenas tentando fazer uma volta medíocre sem traseirar o carro no muro. Eu quase meti ele umas três ou quatro vezes. Apenas fico feliz por ele estar inteiro.
